Origins of the name

Our corporate name, Ceos & Phebe Management Inc., or Cephema, is inspired by the Titans Coeus and Phoebe of Greek mythology, deities each representing aspects of the human intellect. In the first case, Coeus (rendered as Ceos) represents the inquisitive mind, the natural curiosity of the human spirit, and the ability to bring an analytical mindset to any activity. In the case of Phoebe, sister to Ceos, we find symbolised the oracular aspect of the human intellect – the ability to make intelligent predictions about what might come next. Ceos and Phebe therefore represent analytics and forecasting, both key components of any successful business venture.
